ABOUT OUR PROGRAM


Our low cost fitness services aim to promote active and healthy lifestyles for the faculty, staff, retirees, and spouses of the University through structured coaching and exercise programming. To achieve this, our nationally certified personal trainers will work with you one on one to support you and help you reach your specific goals. We do this by teaching you how to use exercise equipment properly, how to execute good technique in your movement, and how to structure and develop your fitness routine. Our objective is for you to be comfortable with the equipment, execution, and routine so that you can operate the fitness center on your own. 

 

HOW TO GET STARTED


Before purchasing a package, it is recommended that interested clients set up a free consultation with one of our nationally certified personal trainers. All fitness services packages include a free 30-minute consultation to review your health/exercise history and short-term/long-term goals. This consultation must be done before any personal training sessions begin so that the personal trainer can customize an exercise plan specifically for you.

To schedule a free 30-minute consultation, please complete this form and one of our staff members will email you within 2-3 business days with directions on how to complete your online health fitness questionnaires using Total PT Fitness. After completing several questionnaires, you will be matched with the personal trainer to then schedule your consultation.

At the end of your 30-minute consultation, an appropriate fitness service package will be recommended to you based upon your exercise history and goals. Personal training sessions vary from 30-60 minutes and take place either over zoom or in-person at the Carpenter Sports Building. All packages may be purchased at the Carpenter Sports Building's cashier or online. Wellness dollars may only be applied to fitness services at the Carpenter Sports Building cashier. 

OUR FITNESS SERVICE PACKAGES

 

Express (30 minute) personal training session(s). Your personal trainer will provide customary one-on-one guidance with emphasis on safety and form. Programs may be developed for use in the Employee Fitness Center, home, or anywhere in between. Sessions are scheduled based on what you and your personal trainer feel is appropriate.

  • 3 Express Sessions (30 minutes each session): $55

  • 5 Express Sessions (30 minutes each session): $85

  • 10 Express Sessions (30 minutes each session): $160
    • Includes FREE 10-minute InBody Body Composition Analysis   
       

If you are a current All-Access Membership member, express personal training sessions are discounted at 15% off at checkout.

Step 1: Sign up for a free fitness consultation

Step 2: After consultation, purchase package at the Carpenter Sports Building's cashier or online

  • Wellness dollars may only be applied at the Carpenter Sports Building cashier window.    

During this 1 hour appointment, a series of assessments will be done to determine your overall fitness level. You will receive a comprehensive report of your results, which can be an effective planning tool in developing a workout regime. In this assessment, body composition, aerobic capacity, muscular strength & endurance, flexibility, BMI, resting heart rate, and blood pressure will be measured. This measurement does not include an InBody Body Composition Analysis.

  • 1 Fitness Assessment: $15

If you are a current All-Access Membership member, fitness consultations are discounted at 15% off at checkout.

Please purchase assessment at the Carpenter Sports Building's cashier or online. Wellness dollars may only be applied at the Carpenter Sports Building cashier window.

Ready to take the next step with an InBody Test? Please purchase test online or at the Carpenter Sports Building for $15. All-Access Memberships do not provide discount on service.

Get your body composition tested by one of our certified personal trainers with our MicroFit skin caliper test or Omicron Body Fat Analysis. Records can be kept and tracked on our program for your convenience.

This service is free, but must be scheduled in advance. Please add service to cart online and a member from our team will reach out to you to schedule an appointment.

 

Accessing Your Total PT Fitness Profile

 

If you are a current personal training client, your personal trainer may use Total PT Fitness to create and share exercise programs so that you can exercise on your own and track your progress over time. Please visit Total PT Fitness profile to view or complete your health fitness questionnaires, handouts, or programs. If you forget your username or password, please email Fitness Coordinator, Chelsea Finch, at cfinch@udel.edu. For fast access to your exercise programs, you may also download the “Fitness Now” app  on your smartphone device. Google Android App | Apple iPhone App

OUR CANCELATION POLICY

 

All clients will be asked to sign their name on our "No Show" and Cancelation Policy agreement form prior to starting their sessions. This “No Show” and Cancelation Policy states that all clients that do not show up for a scheduled training session will lose a session from their purchased package. To avoid losing a session, clients must contact their personal trainer or the fitness coordinator to cancel their appointment at least 24 hours in advance. Any cancelations after this time frame will be counted as a “no show” and the client will lose a session from their purchased package. For day of cancelations, please contact your personal trainer directly by via email or phone number.

OUR REFUND POLICY

There are no refunds on any purchase orders. Personal training sessions do not expire, but are recommended to be used within the fiscal year of purchase.
