All University employees, with the exception of student workers

Effective January 2018, employees may participate in TIAA as the University's single administrative service provider.


Participants who are employed on or after January 1, 2018 will become 100% vested in their matching (University) contribution accounts upon five years of service.
Participants who are employed prior to January 1, 2018 are, at all times, 100% vested in their (University) contribution accounts.

University Contributions

There is no University match on voluntary contributions.


TIAA is the single administrative service provider for the University of Delaware. To make an update to your salary deferral election for desired retirement plan contributions visit the TIAA portal.

This plan is not subject to an open enrollment period. Employees may enroll and change elections at any point in the year.
