What is it?
If you need to access specific software for class, there are two ways that you can access this software. The University of Delaware has made class and lab software available in virtual computing sessions.
Please note that students in the College of Engineering can also refer to COE’s software delivery page for additional options.
Option 1: Download software from UDeploy (best performance, most intensive)
Option 2: Use UD’s Remote Computer Labs (less intensive, requires stronger internet connection)
Option 1: Download software from UDeploy
If required by your instructor, download, install, and test software from UDeploy, UD's software repository. Your instructor will advise you if there are additional software packages you need to install based on your course work.
- Some software is resource intensive and not every device will be able to run it. Check to make sure your device meets the recommended specifications.
Option 2: Use a Remote Computer Lab
Remote computer labs will allow you to use an existing computer lab on campus, but from a remote location. These labs contain the exact same specialized software you would have access to if you were behind the computer, in the lab.
Remote labs are accessible to people with an up-to-date web browser (recent version of Chrome, Safari, or Edge).
