What is your favorite memory from your time as an SNF Ithaca Student Leader so far?
My favorite memory from my time as an SNF Ithaca Student Leader was the weekly Monday meetings with fellow student leaders in the fall semester. This was a time when the cohort would gather in Graham Hall for 1-2 hours and organize our events. I had a lot of fun getting together as a group to work on our Campus Conversations and get to know everyone on a more personal level. These meetings allowed us to form a community that would be reflected not only in our events but also for the rest of the year.
What do you plan to do after you graduate?
After I graduate, I plan to travel before returning to pursue either graduate school or law school. A dream of mine is to do a trip through Europe via train, and I believe that after graduation would be the perfect time. In higher education, I look forward to narrowing down my interests and seeing where the wind takes me.
How has the SNF Ithaca Initiative helped you become a more effective and engaged citizen?
The SNF Ithaca Initiative has helped me become a more effective leader and engaged citizen by providing tools and resources for learning. The workshops where we learned facilitation strategies allowed me to engage confidently with those around me. The people we had the opportunity to meet inspired me to become a more effective leader and citizen, not only at my university but also in the broader community around me.
