This year's annual symposium will be held virtually via zoom and focus on the Silver Linings of COVID- 19 in education, practice & research, within the UD College of Health Sciences and beyond.
Morning Session - 10:00 am- 12:00 pm
- Welcome & address from Kathleen S. Matt, PhD, Dean of the College of Health Sciences as to how UD CHS has responded to COVID as an academic health center
- Keynote address by David Willis, MD, Senior Fellow at the Center for the Study of Social Policy: “Building Back Better”: Connecting the Medical Home and Community to advance the wellbeing of our next generation of children.
- Panel discussion and Q&A to follow featuring:
o Dr. Mary Dozier-Unidel Amy duPont Chair Child Development at University of Delaware
o Dr. Rick Hong- State Medical Director
o Dr. Jan Lee- CEO, Delaware Health Information Network
o David Willis- Senior Fellow , Center for the Study of Social Policy

- Guided meditation lead by Dr. Mike Mackenzie & Alyssa Whittaker
- Panel discussion on how COVID-19 has advanced education, practice & research at UD and through the community, moderated by Rita Landgraf, Director of the UD Partnership for Healthy Communities
