Since its inception, the Winterthur Program has taken a interdisciplinary approach to the study of material culture. The curriculum requires two graduate seminars in different academic disciplines at the University of Delaware, generally in the Departments of Art History, English, or History. With permission of the Director, Fellows may take courses in other disciplines. The guiding principle is that Fellows benefit from studying culture through different disciplinary traditions and methodologies.
