About Us

Kathy Corbitt, BS, ACSM

Program Director

Joining the University of Delaware in 2007, Kathy serves as the Manager for both the Employee Education and Development (EED) and Employee Wellness Programs in the Office of Human Resources. Prior to joining UD, Kathy worked as a Health Educator for Quality Insights of Delaware, the State's Quality Improvement Organization. She also spent thirteen years managing employee health and wellness programs for Chrysler Corporation and Florida Power and Light.

Kathy holds a Bachelors Degree from the University of Florida in addition to numerous certifications from accredited organizations within the health and fitness industry. In 2010, Kathy completed UD's Strategic Human Capital Management Certification Program offered by Professional and Continuing Studies. Presently, Kathy is pursuing her Master's Degree in Business Administration at the University of Delaware.


Linda Smith, MA, ACSM

Program Coordinator

Linda brings a diverse background in adult fitness to the HealthyU staff where she has served as program coordinator since 2001. She holds a M.A. in exercise physiology from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and is certified through the American College of Sports Medicine.

Prior to joining the University she managed fitness programs for YMCA's in North Carolina and Delaware. Currently she facilitates the development and delivery of wellness programs and helps employees maximize their potential by helping them meet their fitness goals.


Mary Justice, AAS

Administrative Assistant

Mary is a lifelong Delawarean, and resides in Newark with her family.  She brings a background of experience in administrative duties to her position as Administrative Assistant in the HealthyU Employee Wellness Center.

Prior to joining the Wellness Center, Mary worked in a corporate environment as an Administrative Assistant for 12 years, primarily in the architectural and engineering fields.

Mary has always been health conscious and the opportunity to serve in the Wellness Center allows her to work in a program she truly believes in.   Mary looks forward to hearing from the university employees if they should have questions or need support while accomplishing their health goals through our program.


Alex Delcollo

B.S., Health Behavior Science, University Of Delaware, 2011
M.S., Health Promotion, University of Delaware, 2013

Alex graduated from the University of Delaware with a degree in Health Behavior Science in 2011. She will be graduating this coming May with her Masters in Health Promotion. She has worked in the CSB for 5 years for Recreation Services. This will be her second year working with Employee Wellness. Outside of work, Alex participates in competitive weightlifting. She loves working with athletes but also enjoys getting the general population involved in fitness.



Alicia Guildner

B.S., Exercise Science, Pacific University, 2011
M.S., Health Promotion, University of Delaware, 2014

Alicia graduated from Pacific University in Forest Grove, Oregon in May 2011 with a degree in Exercise Science.  She moved to Delaware from Mount Vernon, Washington to pursue her Master's degree.  Alicia has coached volleyball for 3 years and is excited to work for HealthyU to help bring awareness to preventable diseases such as diabetes and cardiovascular disease and how they can be avoided.  She is in her first year of studies for her master's degree in Health Promotion.
