How to Publish a Personal Web Page at the University of Delaware

Faculty and other members of the University community whose departments allow personal home pages, students, and student organizations can publish personal Web pages on the Copland Web server (udel.edu).

Before you create and publish your Web page(s), read the following information so you know the acceptable uses, practices, and your responsibilities when you use UD's network:

Steps to Create Your Web Site

You must follow these steps in the order in which they appear for your Web page(s) to be publishable and viewable on the Internet:

• Set up a subdirectory on UD's network in which to save your page(s).
• Create your Web page(s) on your personal (local) computer.
• Publish your Web page(s) by uploading (transferring) a copy of the Web page(s) from your personal (local) computer to UD's remote server (i.e., copland.udel.edu).
