Labor Relations |

Units: Employee Relations, Faculty & Staff Assistance Functions: The Office of Labor Relations promotes fair and stable labor relations. Working principally with professional, salaried and hourly staff, the Office handles professional and salaried staff grievances; and helps mid- and senior-level managers better understand how to deal effectively with employees. The Office also is responsible for the administration of the University's AFSCME contracts with hourly and skilled craft employees, unemployment and worker's compensation, Family Medical Leave Act, and other labor laws. |

Functions: Create equal opportunities for a diverse and stimulating working and learning environment, provide education/consultations about EO/AA issues and compliance training in Affirmative Action, Diversity, and Sexual Harassment, provide student/staff training and educational programs to become LGBT allies, sexual harassment awareness, and creating and building a diverse and inclusive work/learning environment, serves as the Affirmative Action compliance office on campus, housing and implementing the Affirmative Action Plan. Provides annual statistics and data about protected class representation on campus, works with HR Recruitment on hiring and recruitment issues, policy recommendations and serve as an expert in equal opportunity/diversity issues that impact UD. |
