Hens Open on a Down Note

The Hens got off to a slow start last weekend dropping 3 of 4 matches at the Jefferson Cup Tournament in Charlottesville, VA...

On the Up-side, Sophomore Krissten Merrill was named to the all- tournament team, compiling 36 kills and 40 digs for the Hens.

Working Overtime

After returning from the UVA tournament, the team didn't hit the court for extra practice. Instead, all members of the team came together to hand out over 150 computers to incoming freshman on Sunday and Monday.

Climbing the Ladder

Team captain Joanna Dusza is making her mark on the Delaware record book. Dusza recorded 40 kills and 37 digs during the Jefferson Cup Tournament, catapulting her into the sixth spot on the all-time dig list with 946, and No. 12 on the kill list with 713. The junior need only 19 more kills to overtake the eleventh spot on the record book for kill, but to move up on the dig list she needs 94 more digs to eclipse Sue Diener's 1,039 digs recorded between 1992-1995.
