New Hampshire II

This match really shows that we are the team to beat for the conference championship!!

The Wildcats almost didn't make it to the Hen House. After the Friday night storm in New England, the wildcats' travel plan was altered. Good thing Coach Viera was resourceful and arrange for the Cats to play us at night. Our thanks to the Tribe of William and Mary for agreeing to play us in the one o'clock match.

Both team played very well and very even in the first game. The only difference that led to UNH's win of the first game was attacking errors on our end. In game 2, the Hens corrected the problems on attacking and control the pace by turning the game into a defensive battle for the two teams. Needless to say -- we won.

Durng the intermission, after many trials of serving at the Asics prize, fans were finally able to hit the shoes. That excitment help boost the Hens to the third game win where the attacking was excellent. The team hitted for an average of .318. In game 4, it looks if the Hens will run away with the match by opening a 13-1 lead. However, the Wildcats fighting for their lives came back and won the game 15-13.

Yes, if you weren't here you did miss a great game. Both team perfromed to the best of their abilities. The difference in the match was decied by service errors. And for a change, the errors were comitted by the Wildcats.
