Northeastern

The Hens won their home conference opener on Sat. at the Carpenter Sports Building.

The match started off evenly; both teams were trying to establish their "games." Northeastern's back court defence was excellent, and the Hens' blocking was throwing the Huskies off of their offense. After serveral long sideout exchanges, the Hens put together their best offense performance so far this season. The Huskies continue to play some tough defense but it was only a matter of time before the Blue Hens find thier way to victory.

The Hens' coaching staff was pleased to see the team come together in every aspect of the game. When the Hens were in trouble, someone managed to help "better" the play and resulted in a point or sideout for the Hens. Blocking was also excellent. The team wall registered 12 team blocks on the afternoon without an error!!
