Drexel
The Hens won their conference opener on Sat. at the
PEAC on Drexel Campus.
It is another combined team effort that led to the victory.
Everyone except Nikki O'Malia, who is under the weather, had a chance to
play. Team leaders in kills were Jr. Outside hitter Carly Cangiano, and
Joanna Dusza both with 14 kills. Fr. Middle Blocker, Jen Wanner added
another 12 on the weekend. On the defensive end, Carly also recorded 10
digs in the match. Teamates Jen Wanner and Sr. Middle Blocker, Becka
Colenda contributed 4 blocks each on the day.
Due to illness, Joanna only played 3 of the 4 games. Stepping-in nicely
were So. Outside Hitter Krissy Merrill and Fr. Outside Hitter Magaret
Lapinski. The two combined for key digs and kills in game 2, and
3.
