America East Championship


With all cylinders firing, the Hens won the first game of the semi-final vs. New Hampshire 15-13. The wildcats fought back and took the 2nd and 3rd game with both teams fighting for the right to the championship round. The Hens then took control of the forth game by winning 15-12 and forced an already exciting match into a nail biting experience for the fans.

The see-saw battle had seven lead changes between the two teams. The last change cost the Hens their shot at the NCAA.

Stats Leaders:

Sr. Middle Blocker, Becka Colenda contributed 12 kills and 5 blocks. Becka was also named to the All-Tournament Team.

Jr. Outside Hitter, Joanna Dusza led the team with 13 kills, and 29 digs.

So. Outside Hitter, Krissy Merrill continue to improve in her game. She recorded 10 kills, and 11 digs.

Sr. Setter, Paige Harrison added to our defensive effort by contributing her 9 digs on the afternoon. She also dished out 41 assists.

Sr. Defensive Specialist, Krissy Pekar and teamate Sadie Bjornstad also helped with the defensive effort by adding double digitd digs in the match. Krissy added 13 digs, while Sadie contributed 10 digs.
