Alumni Association President Anne Giacoma Barretta

Do you suffer from FOMO? That’s “Fear of Missing Out” for those of you who graduated before the millennium, like I did.

Living in Northern New Jersey, almost three hours from Newark, I miss being on campus and often suffer from FOMO when it comes to all things UD. However, there are so many ways to stay engaged with the University even if you can’t make it to campus.

One of the easiest ways to stay connected is to subscribe to UDaily, UD’s daily online news service, which provides news on campus events, faculty accomplishments and student activities. There are plenty of links and photos, too, so it’s easy reading.

You can also reach out to fellow alumni online by joining UDConnection.com (it’s free), where you’ll find a comprehensive list of alumni events taking place across the country.

I follow UD Alumni on Facebook to see what alumni chapters are doing around the country and to get updates on campus events. You can even reconnect with your old roommate, your favorite English professor or that cute guy/girl you met in Rodney Dining Hall your sophomore year!

Following UD sports on Twitter (@UDBlueHens) is a great way to cheer for your favorite Blue Hen sports teams. With live tweets and updates on game scores you’ll feel like you’re sitting in Delaware Stadium or at Bob Hannah field.

If I don’t catch you on campus, I hope to see you online!
