While I never had the opportunity to meet Dr. Soles, I have benefited significantly from his legacy as a Soles Graduate Fellow. I received a Soles Fellowship at the beginning of my second year of doctoral studies in political science and international relations to present my research in Manchester, England, during the annual Workshops on Political Theory conference. The support that I received through the Soles Fellowship was particularly significant for me because it was my first time presenting research at an academic conference and I would not have otherwise been able to share my research in an international setting. Through my participation in the conference I was able to make meaningful connections with scholars from various countries, receive essential feedback on my research and grow overall as a scholar and professional. Now, as a doctoral candidate, I am extremely grateful for all the support that has enriched my experience here at the University of Delaware, and I'm proud to be able to honor Dr. Soles' legacy through my research and public service.
