4-H After School Activity Leader, New Castle County Cooperative Extension

DEADLINE: Open until filled.

This position has no University of Delaware benefits. The hours are Monday through Friday between 2:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m.

The program is a partnership between 4-H Afterschool and the schools to assist students with academic skills and provide enrichment in a school-based childcare learning center program. The schools are Bayard Intermediate School and East Side Charter School in Wilmington, Talley Middle School in Claymont, and Shue-Medill Middle School in Newark.

QUALIFICATIONS: Three credit hours in child development or education, one year experience working with school age youth. Successful completion of criminal background check, child protection and adult abuse registry check, health examination and Tuberculosis test. Valid motor vehicle operator’s license and access to reliable means of transportation to work off campus at school site.

RESPONSIBILITIES: Lead daily after school homework help and academic enrichment in school-based programs for elementary/middle school participants.
