Professional Positions 4417 Assistant Director of Reunions and Classes – Annual Giving (Level 13) University Development DEADLINE: Open until filled. QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor's degree, with three years fundraising/development, alumni relations, event planning, volunteer management or related experience in a university environment preferred. Effective oral and written communication, with excellent interpersonal and communication skills necessary for interacting with alumni, staff, students, senior executives and University administration. Standard computer skills - database management, MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook). Demonstrated commitment to higher education and the ability to articulate a persuasive case for annual, unrestricted support of the University. Commitment to collaborative teamwork and individual accountability. A goal-oriented work ethic and absolute integrity are essential to success. Interpersonal and organizational skills are essential. Ability to travel and valid driver’s license require. Ability to work occasionally on weekends and evenings. RESPONSIBILITIES: Primary focus is generating support from alumni. Create and manage reunion giving programs for assigned classes and assist with developing programs for parents and young alumni. Coordinate fundraising activities, develop solicitation strategies, monitor progress toward class goals, and work with volunteers to cultivate and solicit annual fund donations. Plan and manage reunion events in various cities throughout the country and coordinate direct mail and telefund activities with the Associate Director of Marketing and Communications for targeted appeals. Collaborate with staff in University Development, the Office of Alumni Relations, and other departments as needed, and attend and participate in annual giving events and donor receptions (i.e. Homecoming, Reunion Weekend, DDS events, Graduation, etc).
