Festivities abound surrounding St. Patrick's Day

University of Delaware students looking to de-stress before spring break have a wide range of activities to choose from, including intercultural events, activities and giveaways, as well as UD’s annual Shamrockfest.

All activities listed are free and open to all students unless otherwise noted:

Thursday, March 9 

• 11 a.m. - 1 p.m. in Trabant University Center: Healthy HENS kiosk featuring games and giveaways

• 4-6 p.m. in the Little Bob (Carpenter Sports Building): Healthy HENS kiosk featuring games and giveaways

• 5-7:30 p.m. in Perkins Student Center: Career meet-up for students interested in career opportunities in government, public policy and social service industries with Career Services Center

• 6:30 p.m. in Trabant Multipurpose Room: Black Student Union Meeting and Town Hall: The Black Experience at UD, featuring an intergenerational conversation with students and alumni around highlights, challenges and opportunities for the future

• 7 p.m. in Christiana Engagement Center: All Recovery Yoga with Sexual Offense Support (SOS) and Collegiate Recovery Community (CRC)

• 7 p.m. in Loudis Recital Hall at the Amy du Pont Music Building: The Vagina Monologues opening night with V-Day at UD and UD’s Sexual Assault Prevention Awareness and Education committee (SAPE); admission charged at door

• 8-10 p.m. in Trabant Theater: Rocky Horror Picture Show showing with Student Centers Programming Advisory Board (SCPAB)

Friday, March 10

• 2:30 p.m. in Bob Hannah Stadium: Blue Hen Baseball vs. Wagner

• 10 p.m. - 1 a.m. in Perkins Student Center: Perkins Live with University Student Centers featuring Derek Hughes from America’s Got Talent, DIY mason jars and soft pretzels with dip bar

Saturday, March 11

• 11 a.m. in Bob Hannah Stadium: Blue Hen Baseball vs. Binghamton

• Noon in Delaware Stadium: Blue Hen Women’s Lacrosse vs. Virginia Tech

• 3 p.m. in Delaware Stadium: Blue Hen Men’s Lacrosse vs. Binghamton

• 3 and 7 p.m. in the Loudis Recital Hall at Amy du Pont Music Building: The Vagina Monologues performance with V-Day at UD and SAPE; admission charged at door

• 10 p.m. - 2 a.m.: Trabant Now featuring Bollywood Blowout with Delaware Kamaal; admission charged at door

Sunday, March 12

• 11 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. in Bob Hannah Stadium: Blue Hen Baseball vs. Binghamton and Wagner

Monday, March 13

• 9-10 a.m.: LGBTQ+ 101 training, open to all members of the UD community interested in learning about LGBTQ issues and what it means to be an ally

• 11 a.m. - 1 p.m. in Perkins Student Center: SAPE committee kiosk featuring sexual assault prevention and education resources

• 3-5 p.m. in Christiana Engagement Center: Mindful Monday with CRC, for all students who have been affected by alcohol addiction or are personally working to protect their sobriety

• 6-7 p.m. in Perkins West Lounge: Make a Piñata with HOLA

• 7 p.m. in Kirkbride 206: Three to Infinity: Beyond Two Genders screening as part of the Women’s History Month film series

Tuesday, March 14

• 4-6 p.m. in Perkins Student Center: Healthy HENS kiosk featuring games and giveaways

• 7-8 p.m. in Perkins West Lounge: Movies with Dogs-themed Quizzo with University Student Centers and Wellness Peer Educators

Wednesday, March 15

• 5 p.m. in Delaware Stadium: Blue Hen Women’s Lacrosse vs. Bryant

• 6-8 p.m. in Harrington Commons: Wellbeing Wednesday with Healthy HENS

• 7 p.m. in Trabant Theater: Milking the Rhino screening as part of the Lights, Camera, Earth! film series

Thursday, March 16

• 11 a.m. - 1 p.m. in Trabant University Center: Healthy HENS kiosk featuring games and giveaways

• 5-9 p.m. in Christiana Commons: St. Patrick’s Safety with Healthy HENS

• 7 p.m. in Christiana Engagement Center: All Recovery Yoga with SOS and CRC

• 7-9 p.m. in Trabant Lounge: Gender nonbinary writer/speaker, Sinclair Sexsmith with Haven

Friday, March 17

• 11 a.m. - 2 p.m. in Perkins Concourse: Get to know St. Pat! with University Student Centers

• 11 a.m. - 3 p.m. in Harrington Commons: St. Patrick’s Safety with Healthy HENS

• 6 p.m. at UD Hillel / 47 West Delaware Ave.: Pride Shabbat with Hillel and the Office of the Dean of Students’ LGBT Program Coordinator, an LGBTQ+-themed service followed by dinner (students may attend either or both)

• 8 p.m. in Trabant Theater: Hidden Figures screening with SCPAB; tickets are $3 and available at Trabant Box Office the week of the show

• 10 p.m. - 1 a.m. in Perkins Student Center: Perkins Live spring finale with University Student Centers featuring Blue Hen Bingo, laptop skins, bumper stickers and St. Paddy’s Day treats

Saturday, March 18

• 8-11 a.m. in Trabant Food Court: Not-So-Irish Breakfast buffet

• 10 a.m. - 3 p.m. on Perkins Patio: Tie-dye with Opt4

• 10 a.m. - 3 p.m. in Perkins Student Center: Shamrockfest featuring face painting, airbrush tattoos, caricature artists, hourly raffle prizes, Quizzo with prizes, giant yard games, stuff-a-bear, Zen coloring, photo booth and a variety of refreshments including brunch as well as a tater tot bar

• 10:30 a.m. in UD Softball Stadium: Blue Hen Softball vs. Rhode Island

• 10:30 a.m. in Little Bob Cycle Studio: UD cycle class with Recreation Services

• Noon in Little Bob 171A: BODYPUMP class with Recreation Services

• 1 p.m. in Delaware Stadium: Blue Hen Men’s Lacrosse vs. Saint Joseph’s
