Indie rock band Walk the Moon to headline SCPAB's fall concert

9:06 a.m., Sept. 23, 2015--The indie rock band Walk the Moon will headline the University of Delaware Student Centers Programming Advisory Board (SCPAB) fall concert on Monday, Nov. 9, at the Bob Carpenter Center.

The alternative band Prinze George will open.

University of Delaware graduates planning to attend Alumni Weekend are encouraged to register for the annual Blue Hen 5K walk and run, which will be held Sunday morning, June 5.

June 6-9: Food and culture series

The 20th annual June Lecture Series at the Osher Lifelong Learning Institute at UD in Wilmington will be held June 6-9. Titled 'June a la Carte,' this year's program focuses on great political documents, feminism, world politics and a Newark cuisine sampler.

The doors will open at 7 p.m. the night of the concert, and Prinze George will take the stage at 8.

Tickets will be available at the box offices at the Bob Carpenter Center and the Trabant University Center, and online through Ticketmaster

Both box offices will open at 10 a.m. on Monday, Sept. 28, when tickets will go on sale exclusively to UD students.

Tickets cost $20 for students for the first two weeks of sale. Four tickets can be purchased per UD ID. Students may only use one UD ID.

Prior to the on sale date, SCPAB will circulate a private Ticketmaster link for students to receive the student price. There will be a $3 service fee on Ticketmaster. The link will go active at 10 a.m. on Sept. 28th. Students will then be prompted to create an account in order to purchase tickets at the student price.

On Oct. 12, ticket sales will open to the general public for $30. Ticket prices for students will increase to $30 as well on that date.

Floor seats will not have chairs and will be general admission tickets. 

Walk the Moon is an American indie rock band from Cincinnati. They have released three studio albums, including the most recent, Talking Is Hard (2014).

They are best known for their singles “Anna Sun” and “Shut Up And Dance,” which hit No. 1 on the Billboard alternative song airplay chart in early 2015 and was a radio hit during the summer.

The band includes lead singer Nicholas Petricca, bassist Kevin Ray, drummer Sean Waugaman and guitarist Eli Maiman.

Prinze George includes lead singer Naomi Almquist, drummer Isabelle De Leon and producer Kenny Grimm. They released their debut EP, Prinze George, in March.
