"We all play an important role in preventing and addressing sexual misconduct on campus," said Sue Groff, UD's Title IX coordinator and director of the Office of Equity and Inclusion. "It is vital that all employees be aware of the University's policies on sexual misconduct, as well as their own personal responsibilities."
Topics such as sex discrimination, sexual harassment, dating and domestic violence, and stalking are covered in the course, along with details on specific UD policies.
All full-time benefitted employees will receive an email on Sept.14 providing information on how to access the course using their standard UD login and password. Those who are unable to complete the course in one sitting may stop and come back to it.
Title IX is a federal law that prohibits sex discrimination in the University's programs and activities and applies in sexual misconduct cases that include sexual assault, sexual harassment, dating violence, domestic violence and stalking by anyone on University property.
The new policy is available online.
