Taste of Newark food festival to be held on Old College lawn
11:21 a.m., Sept. 4, 2015--The 12th annual Taste of Newark food festival will be held from noon-3 p.m., Sunday, Sept. 27, on the lawn of the University of Delaware’s Old College in Newark.
Taste of Newark guests can enjoy the culinary delights of nearly 50 Newark restaurants accompanied by the wares of the area’s finest wine distributors.

This year will also feature demonstrations from celebrity chefs including Ronnie Burkle from SoDel Concepts.
Taste of Newark, organized by the Downtown Newark Partnership and the University of Delaware’s Department of Hotel, Restaurant and Institutional Management (HRIM), is co-chaired by Newark Mayor Polly Sierer, former mayor Vance Funk and chairperson of UD’s HRIM department Sheryl Kline.
The rain location is Clayton Hall.
Tickets are $50 each if purchased before the event or $70 at the door. They are limited and are expected to sell out quickly.
