Attendees will also hear from UD employees who have taken advantage of education opportunities at UD. Shyamala Athaide, an applications programmer in UD’s IT-Web Development group, completed two noncredit programs last year, in data analytics and business analysis. “I really enjoyed the certificate programs through Professional and Continuing Studies,” said Athaide. “I'm happy to encourage other employees to take advantage of the amazing education benefits that UD has to offer.”
Informational presentations will cover:
- What Professional and Continuing Studies can do for UD employees (noon);
- Enrolling in UD credit courses, introduction to the ACCESS Center (12:05 p.m.);
- How to use the Course Fee Waiver for noncredit professional development (12:20 p.m.);
- HR-sponsored employee education and development programs (12:30 p.m.);
- Employee education benefits (12:40 p.m.); and
- Library workshops and more (12:50 p.m.).
Last year’s inaugural event was well received by the UD community and provided a wide range of resources, tips and inspiration for participating in employee education opportunities.
UD employees are asked to RSVP for the open house at this website. Light refreshments will be served.
