Meet the finalist
Vice president and general counsel finalist to give campus presentation Oct. 6
1:42 p.m., Oct. 1, 2015--Members of the University of Delaware community are invited to a presentation by the finalist for the position of vice president and general counsel, replacing Lawrence White, who is retiring at the end of 2015.
The finalist -- Laure Ergin, associate vice president and deputy general counsel at the University for the past five years -- will give a presentation from 4-5 p.m., Tuesday, Oct. 6, in Room 103 Gore Hall.

As the University's chief legal officer, the vice president and general counsel is responsible for the management and supervision of all legal affairs for the University. Reporting to the president, the vice president serves as principal legal advisor to the Board of Trustees, the president and senior staff on litigation, regulatory and contract matters.
Ergin has been a higher education attorney for nearly 18 years, previously serving as deputy general counsel and chief compliance officer at Drexel University. A graduate of the Saint Louis University School of Law, she is a member of the National Association of College and University Attorneys.
Charlie Riordan, deputy provost for research and scholarship, is chairing the search committee to identify the next vice president and general counsel.
