Oct. 28: Campus Sustainability Day
Two events scheduled to celebrate the University's work toward sustainability
10:59 a.m., Oct. 2, 2015--The University of Delaware’s Campus Sustainability Day Working Group of the Sustainability Task Force has announced the schedule of events for Campus Sustainability Day 2015 on Wednesday, Oct. 28.
“Members of the campus community will have two opportunities to come together while celebrating and learning about the great sustainability work that is taking place on UD’s campus,” said Dillon Kimmel, co-chair of the event’s working group and complex coordinator with Residence Life and Housing.

June 6-9: Food and culture series
A No-Waste Luncheon will be held from noon-1 p.m. in the Perkins Student Center Gallery. It is free and open to the University community. The keynote speaker will be Michelle Bennett, the recently hired sustainability manager for the University.
“Michelle is eager to continue meeting members of the campus community and share her vision for sustainability at UD,” said Kimmel. “She is also looking for feedback and suggestions from those invested in sustainability on campus.”
Any member of the University community who wishes to attend is asked to RSVP via a Google form by Oct. 16. Space is limited.
In the evening, students and staff will come together to celebrate sustainability via a celebration in the Harrington Commons from 7-9 p.m. There will be student performers, environmentally minded registered student organizations and giveaways for all who attend. The event is free and open to the public.
