Dec. 4: Pre-Kwanzaa Celebration
Dr. Robin to be featured speaker at UD's Pre-Kwanzaa Celebration
8:40 a.m., Nov. 5, 2015--Robin L. Smith, the best-selling author and national television personality known as Dr. Robin, will be the featured speaker for the University of Delaware Pre-Kwanzaa Celebration to be held at 6 p.m., Friday, Dec. 4, in the Multipurpose Rooms of the Trabant University Center.
Smith, who also is an ordained minister and licensed psychologist, has appeared on numerous news and entertainment television programs including Super Soul Sunday, the Oprah Winfrey Show, the Queen Latifah Show and the Steve Harvey Show.

Smith will share her thoughts on “living fearlessly” by utilizing the gifts and tools of clarity, simplicity and vulnerability.
The event is free to UD students, who are asked to RSVP here.
Cost for UD faculty and staff members is $10, and cost for the general public is $20. Tickets are available at the UD box offices.
Doors will open at 5:30 and, in addition to the keynote presentation, the celebration will feature entertainment, a soul food feast and a CBC Marketplace.
The celebration is sponsored by the Center for Black Culture, the Cultural Programming Advisory Board and the Black Student Union.
