UD's Con Pepe Trio named division finalist in MTNA competition
9:38 a.m., Nov. 11, 2015--University of Delaware students Stefanie Proulx, Laura Yawney and Kourtney Bastianelli, who form the Con Pepe Trio undergraduate chamber ensemble, are division finalists in the Music Teachers National Association (MTNA) Chamber Music Wind Competition.
Proulx, who plays flute, Yawney, who plays oboe, and Bastianelli, who plays clarinet, will travel to Rowan University in Glassboro, New Jersey, in January 2016 to compete in the division finals.

Con Pepe is the University of Delaware’s most active student chamber ensemble. The members were recruited to perform together by Eileen Grycky, associate professor of music, who was impressed with their musicality and commitment to excellence.
The trio has won rave reviews in their many performances throughout the state of Delaware.
The MTNA Chamber Music Wind Competition will take place on Saturday, Jan. 23, during the MTNA Eastern Division Conference.
The winner of this competition will compete in the national finals during the MTNA National Conference in San Antonio, Texas, in April.
The three-tiered MTNA competitions begin at the state level. Winners of each state competition advance to the division competition. Division winners then proceed to the national competition finals.
