Gray’s talk, “Content Trumps Business,” will focus on the business of museums, which he defines as “content, content, content.” While conventional wisdom today is that business people can manage nonprofits, Gray will argue that it is the ways in which the mind works that is, strategically, thoughtfully and inclusively that matters.
Understanding the basic principles of economics, finance and organizational theory are important, he says, but they pale in comparison to content.
This special, culminating History Workshop is co-sponsored by the University of Delaware Library and the Department of History.
