9 a.m., March 23, 2016--The University of Delaware Writing Center and the University of Delaware Library will present a workshop on “Taking the Mystery Out of Citation” on Monday, April 11.

Citing sources can seem like busy work, but doing so is a crucial part of researched-based writing to show that the writer has done their research and have used their sources ethically.

All UD faculty and staff members are invited to attend the annual UDid It! employee appreciation picnic, set from 11 a.m.-1:30 p.m., Monday, June 6, on The Green.

2FA protects you

If you are using two-factor authentication (2FA), even if a hacker has your password, your information is probably safe.

This workshop will show participants how to cite sources throughout their papers in different formats (MLA, Chicago, APA), as well as use citation styles to craft how a reader will respond to those sources. Participants are asked to bring a copy of a research paper with them to practice during this interactive session.

The “Taking the Mystery Out of Citation” workshop will be offered from 3:30-4:40 p.m., Monday, April 11, in the Multimedia Writing Center, Room 017, on the lower level of the Morris Library.

Presenters will be Meg Grotti, associate librarian and assistant head of Instructional Services, and Michael McCamley, associate professor of English and associate director of the Writing Center.

The workshop is available at no charge and is open to all University of Delaware students. Seating is limited and registration is required. Online registration is available at this website
