Blue Hen student-athletes to visit Delaware State Fair on July 28
8:17 a.m., July 24, 2015--University of Delaware student-athletes will visit the Delaware State Fair in Harrington on Tuesday, July 28, and will host a “Movin’ with the Blue Hens” event.
Blue Hens representing the football, volleyball, women’s soccer, field hockey, cross country and track and field, and men’s and women’s basketball teams will be at the fair that day.

Tuesday is Kids’ Day at the fair, and children ages 12 and younger receive free admission.
Children, parents and Blue Hens fans of all ages are invited to stop by the Entertainment Tent from 4-6 p.m., Tuesday, July 28, to meet the University mascot YoUDee, the UD cheerleaders and the student-athletes and participate in a variety of activities in the Blue Hens Zone.
After being active, guests can spin a prize wheel for the chance to win exclusive Blue Hens giveaways or football game tickets.
Children 12 and younger will also be able to register on-site for the Future Hens Club, the official kids’ club of UD Athletics, for the 2015-16 academic year. Members enjoy exclusive events throughout the year with their favorite student-athletes, giveaways, select admission to athletic events, and more.
In addition, UD football season and group tickets are currently on sale and can be purchased at the fair during the event. Mini plans and single game tickets will go on sale Aug. 1.
The Blue Hens will be featured in the evening parade that will begin at 7 p.m. and wind throughout the fairgrounds.
