UD's student-operated restaurant opens for the semester, now accepting Flex

2:02 p.m., Jan. 26, 2016--In response to student requests, Vita Nova will now accept Flex when it reopens for the semester on Monday, Feb. 15. 

The University of Delaware’s student-operated gourmet restaurant will offer this added service in Vita Nova’s dining room and The Bistro, both of which are on the second floor of Trabant University Center.

As it neared time for the processional to open the University of Delaware Commencement ceremonies, graduating students and faculty members shared their feelings about what the event means to them.

It was a day of triumph, cheers and collective relief as more than 160 students from 21 nations participated in the University of Delaware's Doctoral Hooding Convocation held Friday morning on The Green.

A Vita Nova dining experience is on the UD Bucket List of things to do before graduation, and a popular Delaware tradition for faculty, staff and families visiting campus.

During the spring and fall semesters, students from UD’s Department of Hotel, Restaurant and Institutional Management (HRIM) offer a gourmet lunch buffet Monday-Friday from 11:30 a.m. and elegant four-course dining Wednesday-Friday from 5:30 p.m.

For more casual fare, The Bistro offers a small plate menu, extensive beverage selections and a three-course theatre menu for guests attending performances on campus. The Bistro is open Wednesday-Friday from 5:30 pm. 

Vita Nova will open for lunch on Monday, Feb. 15, and dinner on Wednesday, Feb. 17.
