Winter Session workshop designed to help students connect through art
11:33 a.m., Jan. 4, 2016--A free two-hour art workshop titled “Connect and Create Your Community” will be held throughout the University of Delaware’s Winter Session.
The workshop is designed to bring together students in the UD community as an outlet to connect with others through art, according to Abby Daleki, a master of fine arts student who received a grant to support the program.

She said the workshop is “geared toward any and all students, even if you think you can’t paint or draw” and participating students will have a “safe space to talk about art, music, video games, etc. with other students.”
Different craft materials, information and refreshments will be supplied for each workshop by the facilitator. Participants are encouraged “to bring an open mind and a playlist to share with others” and “to leave all stresses and worries about school or work at the door.”
"Connect and Create Your Community" workshop sessions will be held in Room 208 of the Studio Arts Building as follows:
- Tuesday, Jan. 12, 1-3 p.m.
- Thursday, Jan. 14, 1-3 p.m.
- Wednesday, Jan. 20, noon-2 p.m.
- Tuesday, Jan. 26, 1-3 p.m.
- Thursday, Jan. 28, 1-3 p.m.
