The conference theme is “Promoting Research Excellence Through Interdisciplinary Collaboration,” which highlights the value and necessity of interdisciplinary research for viewing phenomena from a unique lens and solving real world problems.
Students are encouraged to collaborate with students and faculty in disciplines other than their own to develop novel and cross-cutting research projects and papers. Singular projects in conjunction with faculty are also welcome.
Students may submit abstracts for individual paper or poster presentations, or abstracts for panel presentations to be organized by topic.
Abstracts may focus on any aspect of the humanities, social sciences, natural sciences, health sciences, engineering and technology, education, communications, diversity, gender and sexuality, Africa and the diaspora, ethnic and cultural studies, feminist and Black feminist theory, labor, and community engagement.
Awards will be presented to the best presenters at the end of the conference.
The undergraduate student proposal should be submitted electronically and must include submitter’s name; faculty adviser’s name; title of the paper, poster or panel presentation; and an abstract of approximately 150 words in Word or PDF format. The proposal should also include the institutional affiliation of each presenter, phone number, and email address.
UD students can submit abstracts to RUSRC-2016@udel.edu.
