University Library offers RefWorks workshops through spring semester

2:49 p.m., Feb. 17, 2016--The University of Delaware Library will present several levels of RefWorks workshops during the spring semester. 

“Introduction to RefWorks” is an introductory workshop that will cover setting up an account, exporting citations from research databases, managing citations, creating bibliographies and more.

If you are using two-factor authentication (2FA), even if a hacker has your password, your information is probably safe.

“RefWorks: Beyond the Basics” will be for those who have taken “Introduction to RefWorks.” It will provide additional information about exporting references from research databases and organizing references and includes using the Write-N-Cite feature to insert in-text citations as well as editing in-text citations. 

A new and improved version of RefWorks will be released in 2016. “Introduction to the New and Improved RefWorks” introduces the new interface and capabilities of RefWorks.

“Introduction to RefWorks” will be offered from 2-3:30 p.m., Tuesday, March 1, in Library Instruction Room 116A on the first floor of the Morris Library.

Presenter will be Dianna McKellar, librarian, Reference and Instructional Services Department.

“RefWorks: Beyond the Basics” will be offered from 2-3:30 p.m., Tuesday, March 8, also in the Library Instruction Room 116A.

Presenter will be William Simpson, associate librarian, Reference and Instructional Services Department.

“Introduction to the New and Improved RefWorks” will be offered from 10-11:30 a.m. on Tuesday, May 3, and on Wednesday, May 11, both in Library Instruction Room 116A.

McKellar will be the presenter for both sessions.

These workshops are available at no charge and are open to University of Delaware faculty, staff and students. Seating is limited and registration is required. Online registration is available at this website
