Campus Stories

From graduates, faculty

As it neared time for the processional to open the University of Delaware Commencement ceremonies, graduating students and faculty members shared their feelings about what the event means to them.

Doctoral hooding

It was a day of triumph, cheers and collective relief as more than 160 students from 21 nations participated in the University of Delaware's Doctoral Hooding Convocation held Friday morning on The Green.

The spring event calendar includes workshops from the Academic Enrichment Center, Institute for Global Studies, Healthy Hens, and more.

There will also be specific “study space” hours for all students.

“Being engaged outside of the classroom can be crucial to a student’s overall success,” said Christina King, assistant director for student engagement and assessment. “The Kent Engagement Center pilot serves to bring some of the University's resources and opportunities that support student engagement to one central location.”

Those with interest can visit the Kent Engagement Center page for a full list of events and more information.
