Feb. 24: HPC open forum
UD researchers invited to High Performance Computing Symposium session
12:16 p.m., Feb. 17, 2016--University of Delaware researchers are invited to the February High Performance Computing Symposium session, scheduled Wednesday, Feb. 24, at 10 a.m. in Faculty Commons (116 Pearson Hall).
Due to a scheduling conflict, Dana Veron’s presentation will be moved from Feb. 24 to Sept. 21. The February session will now be an open forum with the IT High Performance Computing (HPC) team.

This symposium session is intended to be a working session and researchers should bring their laptops to discuss and resolve issues. The IT HPC team plans to lead discussions on the following topics:
- Mills end-of-life policy, including how jobs will be affected by the implementation of the spillover queue starting Monday, Feb. 29;
- benchmarking jobs;
- specifying resources such as memory, standby and exclusive; and
- Lustre.
Those interested can request other topics to be added to the agenda when registering.
Registration is available at the IT Research Computing website. Refreshments will be provided.
This open forum is a continuation of a series of meetings designed for researchers using or interested in using the University’s HPC clusters.

- Jan. 25, 2017 – Sara Rauscher, assistant professor of geography.
