May 2-6: GPU Programming Hackathon
Hackathon set in collaboration with Oak Ridge Leadership Computing Facility
8:47 a.m., Feb. 1, 2016--A call for submissions is open for a GPU Programming Hackathon to be held at the University of Delaware from May 2-6 in collaboration with Oak Ridge Leadership Computing Facility.
The deadline for submissions is March 4.
Mentors from national laboratories, universities, and vendors will work with student teams during the hands-on hackathon workshop.

“We are looking for teams of three to six developers with scalable applications to port to or optimize on a GPU accelerator,” says Sunita Chandrasekaran, assistant professor in the Department of Computer and Information Sciences.
“The goal is for teams to leave either with applications running on GPUs or with a clear roadmap of how to get there.”
