Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering sets spring seminar series
9:21 a.m., Feb. 19, 2016--The University of Delaware Department of Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering has announced a spring seminar series.
Presentations will be held on select Fridays through the spring semester, all beginning at 10 a.m. in 102 Colburn Laboratory.

The schedule is as follows:
Feb. 26 – LaShanda Korley of Case Western Reserve University will speak on “Exploiting the Structural Diversity in Nature as a Path Toward Mechanical Enhancement.” Host will be Thomas H. Epps, III, Thomas and Kipp Gutshall Association Professor of Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering.
March 4 – Randall Snurr of Northwestern University will speak on “Metal-Organic Frameworks as Tunable Platforms for Chemical Separations and Catalysis.” Host will be Bingjun Xu, associate professor.
April 8 – Douglas Clark of the University of California, Berkeley, will speak on “Protein Engineering for New Biocatalysts and Advanced Biomaterials.” Host will be David W. Colby, assistant professor.
April 22 – Craig Hawker of the University of California, Santa Barbara, will speak on “Novel Chemical Building Blocks for Functional Material Platforms” as he delivers the Kurt Wohl Memorial Lecture. Hosts will be Epps and April Kloxin, assistant professor.
May 6 – Thomas Truskett of the University of Texas, Austin, will speak on “Inverse Design of Interactions for Assembly.” Host will be Arthi Jayaraman, associate professor.
May 13 – Michelle O’Malley of the University of California, Santa Barbara, will speak on “Exploiting Anaerobes for Biomass Breakdown and Sustainable Chemistry” as she delivers the Allan P. Colburn Memorial Lecture. Host will be Millicent O. Sullivan, associate professor.
