June 5: Blue Hen 5K
June 6-9: Food and culture series
Under the leadership of artist and educator, Ashley Pigford, associate professor of graphic and interaction design, students were introduced to artist-constructed machines – i.e., micro-electronics, robotics, kinetic sculpture and interactive installation – as media for artistic expression.
Representing the application of artistic and design processes across physical and digital media, the exhibited constructions – artist-machines – illuminate phenomena, invite interaction, and explore electronics and robotics as mechanisms of delightful curiosity.
Pigford will present an Artist’s Talk on the exhibition at 5 p.m., Tuesday, Feb. 16, in 130 Smith Hall.
The talk will be followed by an opening reception beginning at 6 p.m. in Old College.
Admission to all University Museums exhibitions and events is free and open to the public.
