University announces final exams late-night study locations

8:08 a.m., Dec. 4, 2015--Late-night campus study locations available for use by University of Delaware students before and during fall semester final exams have been announced.

Study locations include Daugherty Hall, the Trabant University Center Food Court, the Kirkwood Room in the Perkins Student Center, Rooms 223 and 230 in the Trabant University Center, and Morris Library and the Morris Library Commons.

The Morris Library is open as follows:

  • Sunday, Dec. 6, opens at 11 a.m. and remains open 24 hours/day until Friday, Dec. 11, when the Morris Library closes at 10 p.m.
  • Saturday, Dec. 12, 9 a.m. to 10 p.m.
  • Sunday, Dec. 13, opens at 11 a.m. and remains open 24 hours/day until Friday, Dec. 18, when the Morris Library closes at 10 p.m.
  • Saturday, Dec. 19, 9 a.m. to 10 p.m.

Morris Library Commons is open 24 hours a day, seven days a week. The commons offers wired and wireless Internet access, vending machines and restrooms and is located adjacent to the Morris Library entrance.

The electronic library of the University of Delaware Library, which is available 24/7, provides access for faculty, students and staff of the University to a rich array of online library resources, including DELCAT Discovery, databases, full-text information, electronic books, electronic journals and electronic newspapers, Research Guides, digital collections, UDSpace and much more.

Daugherty Hall in the Trabant University Center is open from:

  • 9 a.m. to 2 a.m., Saturday and Sunday, Dec. 12-13; 
  • 7 a.m. to 2 a.m., Monday through Friday, Dec. 14-18; and
  • 7 a.m. to 4:45 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 19.

Trabant Food Court will be open for study from:

  • 9 a.m. to midnight, Saturday, Dec. 12; 
  • 9 a.m. to 10 p.m., Sunday, Dec. 13; 
  • 7:30 a.m. to 10 p.m., Monday through Friday, Dec. 16-18; and
  • 7:30 a.m. to 5 p.m., Saturday, Dec. 19. 

Rooms 223 and 230 in the Trabant University Center will be open for study from:

  • 9 a.m. to 11:45 p.m., Saturday and Sunday, Dec. 12-13; 
  • 7 a.m. to 11:45 p.m., Monday through Friday, Dec. 14-18; and
  • 7 a.m. to 4:45 p.m., Saturday, Dec. 19.

The Kirkwood Room in the Perkins Student Center will be open for study from:

  • 9 a.m. to 11:45 p.m., Saturday and Sunday, Dec. 12-13; 
  • 7 a.m. to 11:45 p.m., Monday through Friday, Dec. 14-18; and
  • 7 a.m. to 4:45 p.m., Saturday, Dec. 19.

For an extra boost during extended hours of late-night study, Russell and Pencader dining facilities will offer PJ’s, Pancakes and Ice Cream from 10-11:30 p.m., Monday, Dec. 14.

The University’s Transportation and Parking Services units have announced special shuttles and parking near the Morris Library through finals.
