Newark Police investigate armed robbery at Little Caesars Pizza
6:10 p.m., Dec. 8, 2015--The Newark Police Department is investigating a robbery that occurred at the Little Caesars Pizza at 240 Delaware Ave., Newark, at approximately 11:30 p.m., Monday, Dec. 7.
A masked suspect entered the restaurant brandishing a handgun, walked behind the counter and demanded money from two employees. The employees turned over an undisclosed amount of cash, and the suspect fled from the store.
The suspect, who was last seen running on foot toward South Chapel Street, is described as a black male, 25-35 years of age, 5 feet 7 inches to 5 feet 10 inches tall with an average build. He was wearing an orange sweat shirt, blue jeans and a mask partially covering his face.
