2FA protects you

If you are using two-factor authentication (2FA), even if a hacker has your password, your information is probably safe.

On Dec. 23, the test message will say, "Attention please. This is a test of the UD Alert emergency notification system. This is only a test. There is no further action required on your part. This concludes this test."

Individuals do not need to take any action once they become aware of the test.

All members of the University community should visit the University’s UD Alert website to learn more about the emergency notification system. The website also has a helpful FAQ section and provides information on updating contact information.

All members of the UD community are encouraged to take a moment to ensure that they have registered for UD Alert, which is the primary means of notifying the campus community about an imminent threat or emergency situation.
