Final Cut Pro X workshop

Library offers ‘Final Cut Pro X: The Basics’ workshop on Sept. 13

The University of Delaware Library will offer a workshop titled “Final Cut Pro X: The Basics” from 2-4 p.m., Tuesday, Sept. 13.

Final Cut Pro X is the radical re-design of Apple’s revolutionary professional video editing software. It replaces Final Cut Pro 7 on all Macs in the Student Multimedia Design Center, located on the lower level of the Morris Library.

Final Cut Pro X is a great next step for those who have used iMovie but want more power, control and advanced features. People can even send their existing iMovie projects to Final Cut Pro X and continue working on them with many added features.

In this workshop, participants will learn all the basics from Nico Carver, senior assistant librarian and coordinator, Student Multimedia Design Center Services, Multimedia Collections and Services Department, and an Apple Certified Pro in Final Cut Pro X.

The workshop will be held from 2-4 p.m., Tuesday, Sept. 13, in Room B of the Student Multimedia Design Center.

The workshop is available at no charge and is open to UD faculty, staff and students. Seating is limited and registration is required. For a complete listing of workshops and to register online, go to the library workshops website.

All visitors to the Morris Library need to have photo identification to enter the building, e.g., a UD ONEcard, a U.S. driver’s license or a government-issued or school-issued photo ID. Frequent visitors to the Morris Library, who are 18 years of age or older and who do not have a ONEcard, may visit the Circulation and Reserve desk to register and have their photo taken for a free Library Frequent Visitor card. Once received, this ID can then be used with the card reader at the turnstiles for easy access to the building.
