University Library offers 'Orientation to Film and Video Collection' workshops
8:18 a.m., Aug. 25, 2015--The University of Delaware Library will present two “Introduction to Film and Video Collection Resources” workshops in September focusing on film and video resources and services related to classroom instructional support and research.
The workshops will provide an overview of resources and services available at the library and will address the following questions: How can more media be incorporated into teaching? What films and videos are available for class viewing? How can videos be checked out and scheduled for future use in class?

The session will begin with a tour of the Film and Video Collection facilities, which include viewing carrels, a Viewing Room and a Media Research Room. Participants will be shown how to search the collection in DELCAT Discovery and how to access streaming video databases. Also, attendees will be given an online tour of the Film and Video web page.
Identical sessions are available from 9-10 a.m., Wednesday, Sept. 2, and from 2-3 p.m., Thursday, Sept. 10, in the Film and Video Collection Viewing Room on the lower level of the Morris Library.
Presenter will be Meghann Matwichuk, associate librarian and coordinator, Film and Video Collection, Multimedia Collections and Services Department.
These workshops are available at no charge and are open to UD faculty, staff and students. Seating is limited and registration is required. Online registration is available at this website.
