University offers new Blue Hens wide variety of campuswide programs
8:23 a.m., Aug. 25, 2015--The University of Delaware will welcome more than 4,000 new Blue Hens to campus for 1743 Welcome Days this weekend, with a wide variety of programs.

• Campus Breakout, the preview of Perkins Live and Trabant Now at the Perkins Student Center, the Trabant University Center and The Green on Saturday, Aug. 29.
• "We Are Blue Hens!", a spoken word performance featuring the values and privileges associated with being a Blue Hen through the voices of current students in Mitchell Hall on Sunday, Aug. 30.
• Activities Night, an opportunity to connect with UD's 300-plus registered student organizations at Perkins and Trabant on Sunday, Aug. 30.
• First Day workshop and Academic JumpStart resource fair at Morris Library on Monday, Aug. 31.
• Lavender Reception, an annual welcome for all allies and members of UD's LGBTQ community in Perkins' West Lounge on Monday, Aug. 31.
• Twilight Induction Ceremony, a formal welcome to the University of Delaware that will feature the annual candle-lighting ceremony and banner signing. All members of the campus community are encouraged to attend this event to help welcome the Class of 2019.
