April 21: Chaplin Tyler Lecture postponed
Chaplin Tyler Lecture featuring Honest Tea co-founder Seth Goldman postponed
(Editor's note: The April 21 Chaplin Tyler Lecture, to have featured Honest Tea co-founder Seth Goldman, has been postponed to the fall semester.)
11:52 a.m., April 5, 2016--Seth Goldman believes in doing business differently, a policy that has worked well for him. The Yale School of Management graduate quit his job at a mutual fund company to grow a start-up that has become a well-known U.S. brand, Honest Tea.
Goldman will visit the University of Delaware to provide a fascinating account of the success of the company he started in his kitchen, launched with a former Yale professor and sold in 2011 to the Coca-Cola Co., where he now works. His official title is innovation catalyst at Coca-Cola’s venturing and emerging brands business unit while also serving in a new role as “TeaEO emeritus” at Honest Tea.

The Chaplin Tyler Executive Leadership Lecture Series brings leaders from the business, non-profit and government sectors to the UD campus to share their experiences and insights with students, faculty and the business community. Several times each year, the Lerner College’s Graduate and MBA Program’s office invites these leaders to spend a day engaging in an open exchange of ideas and perspectives.
The series, which is supported by the Chaplin Tyler Endowment Fund, is dedicated to the memory of Chap and Elizabeth Tyler, their commitment to education and their determination to help young people achieve success in the business world.
