Winter wellness retreat offers employees chance to rejuvenate
2:13 p.m., Sept. 15, 2014--The University of Delaware Institute for Global Studies and the Office of Human Resources Employee Wellness Program have announced that they are offering a 2015 winter wellness retreat to Puerto Rico.
Participants will have an opportunity to escape the frigid cold and indulge in a warm wellness retreat to start spring semester balanced, healthy and energized.

The travel program, open to UD employees and family members, will include accommodations at the San Juan Marriott Resort and Stellaris Casino.
The five-day, four-night wellness adventure will depart Jan. 31, 2015, and return Feb. 4.
Participants will join Employee Wellness Program HealthyU staff members for activities on site and can enjoy the sun, sand and waves as staff members help them make the most of their experience rejuvenating mind, body and soul.
Activities include aquacizing under the sun, fitness center challenges, sunrise yoga and meditation, sunset beach walks, and more.
The Wellness Retreat is priced at $1,375, which includes round-trip airfare from Philadelphia, hotel transfers and four nights at the beachfront San Juan Marriott Resort and Stellaris Casino with full breakfasts each morning plus activities to shake off the Delaware winter.
The deposit for the program is due Oct. 15. Space is limited, and those who plan to travel are encouraged to reserve space early.

About the Institute for Global Studies
The Institute for Global Studies was created in 2009 to enhance the international dimensions of teaching, research and outreach at the University of Delaware.
In 2014, IGS launched the inaugural spring break UD Alumni Family and Friends Travel Program. The program received an overwhelming amount of applications, therefore two trips were arranged for over 80 participants.
