Strategic plan working group seeks feedback on draft recommendations, core values
4:34 p.m., Sept. 25, 2014--The Working Group on Grand Challenges, Great Debates and Big Ideas of the University of Delaware’s strategic planning initiative is seeking feedback on draft recommendations and core values presented in a concept paper now available on the Delaware Will Shine website.
The goal of this working group is to identify areas of state, national or global significance where UD is best positioned to engage via consequential research, teaching and service initiatives using existing resources and new and existing alliances, and where UD has reasonable opportunities on which to capitalize.

The working group is co-chaired by Nancy Targett, dean of the College of Earth, Ocean, and Environment, and Paul Brewer, professor in the Department of Communication. Its members include faculty, staff and students from across the University.
“This concept paper has evolved from the work of our dedicated team over the past several months,” Targett said. “We want the UD community to view it simply as a starting point for discussion.”
“We really need input we hope to incorporate thoughts from as many members of the UD community as possible,” Brewer noted.
Feedback should be submitted to spi@udel.edu by Monday, Nov. 3. Input received will be used to develop the final set of recommendations for the University’s new strategic plan.
