8:29 a.m., Sept. 3, 2014--Stephen A. Smith, the noted sports journalist and social critic, will present a conversation titled “Adversity: Keep Your Head in the Game” at 7:30 p.m., Thursday, Sept. 25, in Mitchell Hall at the University of Delaware.

The event, which is sponsored by the Cultural Programming Advisory Board, is free for the UD community with identification (limit of two tickets per ID) and $5 for the general public.

June 6-9: Food and culture series

The 20th annual June Lecture Series at the Osher Lifelong Learning Institute at UD in Wilmington will be held June 6-9. Titled 'June a la Carte,' this year's program focuses on great political documents, feminism, world politics and a Newark cuisine sampler.

Smith is a commentator and analyst for ESPN’s First Take and ESPN Radio. He has appeared on a number of national programs offering his opinions on issues relating to race, politics and current events.
