RLHAB will once again partner with Habitat for Humanity for the spring break trip, this time in Buffalo, New York, to restore and rebuild homes for families in need.
A second trip has been added this year to Wyoming, West Virginia, to work with the Appalachia Service Project. Participants will do construction on homes for families who have a history of poverty and low employment.
Last year, RLHAB hosted a freshman-only trip to promote community and engagement for first year students. This year, RLHAB has added a second trip, open to all students living in the residence halls.
“We received a lot of great feedback and interest after hosting the first trip and wanted to expand the opportunities available to our students,” said Tierra Fields, residence hall coordinator with Residence Life and Housing and program coordinator.
Participants meet throughout the fall and spring semesters to discuss trip logistics, details, and to prepare for the trip.
